2006 Dodge Charger Engine Swap. Web so i have a 2006 dodge charger sxt 3.5l v6 5 speed with 4 speed auto shift and i was wondering if you could put a strong engine in it like the v8 or a different. The 06 motor that came out of the charger has 2 holes in the block and 5 snapped rods.

The car would not run so the mechanic swapped the transmission to fit the 3.5l. I took the engine of a 5.7 hemi 2009 dodge charger and put into 2006 dodge charger. The new engine is a 3.5l high output.
